A winning combination of dazzling design styles, indulgent luxury and hard wearing practicality was what our client was looking for.
She was whole heartedly impressed with what Gainsborough Flooring delivered for her.
With extensive areas of her recently refurbished property requiring flooring, she was seeking something that would complement her interior design and colour schemes, whilst providing her with the practical necessities of a busy household.
The naturally bright lounge with its sophisticated fireplace required a large amount of extra screed preparation by the Gainsborough team to eliminate a huge dip in the floor. This was carried out efficiently, tidily and with perfect precision to an excellent standard, with least disruption to the client.
Once the preparation was complete the lounge was fitted with Amtico Signature Aged Oak using the large parquet blocks creating a powerful and unique effect. This premium collection from Amtico has an inspirational range of designs, from traditional elegance to daring geometry. The designs can be personalised to your own distinctive combination or you can choose from over 100 pre-defined floors.
The lounge was finished off with a deep, dense pile velvet, hand-woven, natural Jacaranda Simla Fern rug, which beautifully reflects the light in the room and brings a gorgeous touch a luxury and extravagance to the exquisite space.
The sophisticated study was fitted with the elegant and robust Amtico Signature Aged Oak in a French Weave. With its foundation of parquetry, the crafted woven pattern has the strength and balance for large spaces.
Moving through the spectacular property, the master and spare bedrooms were installed with the luxurious Jacaranda Jaspur Cowrie.
Using sustainable fibres, the predominantly handwoven renewable wool creates beautifully textured carpets in a variety of different finishes from smooth, luxurious velvets to chunky, characterful bouclés. With all the exceptional benefits of a wool carpet, including natural softness and springiness, insulation and softened acoustics, it is also stain resistant and easy to clean.
The children’s bedrooms were fitted with Alternative Flooring’s Barefoot Wool Hatha Japa, a chunky, thick loop pile carpet made from 100% un-dyed wool. The beauty of the Barefoot carpet is that it is completely hand crafted, eco-friendly and super soft.
For the elegant stairs and landing, Alternative Flooring’s Wool Hygge Sisu Warm milk with herringbone grey binding was selected by the client. It’s as snuggly as the name suggests and is made from 100% undyed Nordic wool bringing conviviality into any home.
The Gainsborough team spent a considerable amount of time curving the binding and carpet around the bottom step of the staircase to match the pattern seamlessly, resulting in a perfect finish.
