Floors fitted throughout stunning refurbished home
Having worked with inspirational Interior Designer Nita Patel from Petal Interiors for several years, we were thrilled when she recommended us to one of her clients for a stunning property in Lancashire.
Having had their family home fully refurbished they were keen to ensure the flooring reflected the stylish décor throughout their property and asked us to fit out the flooring in their downstairs lounge, family room, landing areas and bedrooms.
After a comprehensive site survey we recommended flooring for each area that would not only look fabulous but also fulfil any practical criteria.
For the master bedroom we opted for Jacaranda Santushti Platinum, a high end luxurious silk looking carpet. Jacaranda Santushti Platinum is hand-woven from lustrous TENCEL® which is spun from cellulose and its fibres reflect light to look like silk. TENCEL® wears well and is ideal for spaces such as bedrooms where there isn’t as much traffic as other areas of the home. The remainder of the bedrooms were carpeted in Alternative Flooring’s Luxx range, featuring soft, thick pile carpet to provide a luxurious feel to the floors. With a woven cotton backing this hand crafted carpet adds elegance and texture to any room and is perfect for bedrooms.
For the lounge, family room and landing areas we selected Amtico Signature Ink Wash Wood, one of the finest examples of creativity and style. The highly translucent wear layer of the Amtico Signature Ink Wash Wood ensures a very realistic and authentic look, and is pretty difficult to differentiate from real hardwood.
It’s perfectly suited for every space in a home including the bathroom, kitchen, living rooms, study as well as a bedroom and is resistant to scratches, dents, stains, scuffs and moisture and assures you of lasting performance for years to come.
Our team laid the Amtico floor by combining the pleat and parquet patterns, which requires the skill and precision of our fitters. As there was underfloor heating in the lounge areas we also had to use specific glues when we fitted the floor. The client was delighted with the end result which looked spectacular in their beautiful and spacious home.
