Forbo Eternal Wood and Shaw Active carpet tiles fitted at Cardinal Newman College
We were subcontracted by Redman & Bispham Builders to supply and fit new flooring in Cardinal Newman College in Preston.
The specific areas they were looking to refurbish were the corridor in the St Bede Building, the reception area, the library and the corridor in St Wilfred.
Following consultation with the college on their requirements we installed a combination of Forbo Eternal Wood and a mixture of all the Shaw Active Tiles -advanced, dash, track and turn.
The Forbo Eternal Wood collection contains a large variety of realistic wood designs and plank sizes, including some multi-width plank designs and contain a 0.7 wear layer that ensures maximum wear resistance and excellent appearance retention, ideal for a college environment with heavy footfall.
The Shaw Active carpet tile collection fuses bold colours and graphic patterns. Their collection of 12×48 inch tiles includes four designs and comes in a vibrant palette of 14 colours with EcoWorx tile backing.
With it being an educational establishment, the flooring had to be completed whilst students were on holiday. Of course, with other areas being refurbished during the holiday period the flooring was the last thing to be installed before the students returned. The Gainsborough team who have vast experience of working in schools, colleges and universities, as well as working with both Newman College and Redman & Bispham Builders on countless occasions in the past, managed the whole process efficiently and professionally.
