New flooring for School

Based on recommendations from other schools in the area, Fulwood Academy approached us about fitting new flooring for their school on their stairways as well as three classrooms.

As the areas would involve heavy footfall we were looking at something hardwearing, durable and slip resistant.

For the classrooms we opted for Burmatex Academy, a thick-ribbed fibre bonded carpet tile which comes in a range of solution dyed fibres ideally suited for the education sector as well as public buildings and commercial interiors, 

We selected Polyflor XL PU Vinyl anti-slip flooring and trims for the stairs, which is one of the best-selling safety floors on the market due to its specification, choice in colour and value for money. It is used all over the world for commercial and domestic applications such as hotels and hospitality, commercial and domestic kitchens/bathrooms, wet-rooms, hospitals, nursing and care homes and education to name a few.

The project ran smoothly, and before we could fit the new flooring we had to uplift and dispose of the existing flooring. We completed the job during the summer holiday whilst students were on holiday and the only challenge we faced was working around the electricians who were in the classrooms at the same time!
