New Social Club Floor Fitted By Gainsborough
A club at the heart of its community, The Willows Social Club recently underwent some major refurbishment work, including flooring throughout the social club.
Redman and Bispham a local Building Contractors recommended us to the club and we worked alongside numerous joiners, builders, painters and electricians to complete the project.
We fitted flooring throughout the social club including the club room, function room, bars, corridors and the toilets.
Obviously with a busy social club we were very mindful that whatever flooring we selected had to be hard wearing and robust due to the large footfall, whilst still look attractive and welcoming.
In the Club Room and the function room we selected Wilton Melrose Commercial, a heavy contract carpet designed to work in a broad range of interior styles combining luxury, durability and functionality. With a choice of contemporary and traditional designs available, this Axminster collection enabled us to choose different colours for each room.
For the bar area, kitchen, cellar and store rooms we chose Polysafe Silver birch safety flooring, a hard wearing, non-slip, easy to clean and antibacterial floor, perfect for this type of commercial environment where there could easily be spillages amongst large groups of people.
The Tarkett Safetred in traditional oak brown was selected for the toilets, ideal as a non-slip safety floor and robust enough for high volumes of foot traffic. The contemporary style of the flooring fitted in effortlessly with the club’s modern décor.
It took a team of four expert fitters to complete this comprehensive project whilst working around other contractors such as joiners, electricians, builders and painters who were also onsite at the same time. An interesting challenge but one that came together very smoothly for an extremely happy client.
Mick Goode from DC&MG Associates Limited based in Kirkham was the architect for The Willows Social Club.
