New flooring for iconic Preston nightclub, The Warehouse

Iconic Preston nightclub, The Warehouse, is well underway with preparations in anticipation of opening the renowned nightclub once the Covid restrictions end.

Though it’s been an incredibly tough period for the nightclub, they have used the time wisely to refurbish it.

Spanning 3 levels, each dedicated to a different genre of music, the alternative nightclub has been incredibly popular since it first opened in 1972.

Gainsborough Flooring, who have worked with The Warehouse team on previous occasions, were commissioned to install flooring across all three levels including the top bar area, with the exception of the dancefloors.

Heavy footfall and spillages were key considerations for The Warehouse, as visitors regularly switch floors during the course of the night, therefore the flooring needs to be resilient enough to cope with this.

Primavera carpet was selected for all three floors in an Anthracite colourway. Primavera is a fibre bonded, heavy contract velour carpet, which is water resistant with gel backing. The carpet is 100% Polypropylene and fully bleach cleanable so able to shift even the most stubborn of stains.

It really is the perfect solution for any commercial environment, especially busy nightclubs and bars.

The top bar was fitted out with Polysafe Black Walnut, a safety floor which is extremely durable as well as being slip and chemical resistant.

Visitors will hopefully be able to see the fantastically refurbished nightclub very soon, as it finally open its doors to excited guests again!
